Designs
Bluewood Designs is a custom woodworking shop run by Brian & Tanya Sorrell. We are located in Riverside, California.
We specialize in individually-designed furniture and furnishings, all carefully hand-finished with natural oils and waxes. In addition to furniture, we gently interpret our world through wood sculptures. With materials ranging from the exotic to the mundane, we strive to celebrate wood in all of its forms.
Brian has worked as a computer programmer, web site designer, philosopher and writer. In his free time he mostly works on new designs and techniques and tries desperately to build the workshop into a space whose efficiency would make NASA jealous.
Tanya has worked as an historian, at non-profit organizations, and as an in-costume tour-guide. In her free time, she works with local preservation organizations to promote responsible development. She is obsessed with making things round.
